ROBOT is a mechanical watch whose idea originates in the Czech Republic. Just like the world-famous expression "robot" and the finest artefact of horology, the famous Prague Astronomical Clock, come from this country in the heart of Europe.
Elon Musk might be very surprised, but the word ROBOT was first used by the Czech writer Karel Čapek more than 100 years ago and was associated with hard work. Today, robotics and artificial intelligence are an increasingly important part of our lives. Robots help us humans enjoy our time.
That is also why the Czech businessman Josef Zajíček chose the name ROBOT for his watch when, together with an experienced team of designers and watchmakers, he was looking for a name for the Czech watch factory. Initially, it operated under the name Bohematic before entering the world horological scene and changing its name to ROBOT due to the similar name of a Montblanc collection.
Passion for technology, handwork and craftsmanship are present every day in our manufacture in Nové Město nad Metují, where attractive mechanical watches with a high proportion of handwork and with high-quality Swiss movements are produced in small series. Distinctive design, precise in fine watchmaking mechanics, that is a ROBOT watch.

Prošla českým technickým učením a podílela se mimo jiné na vývoji a výrobě hodinek vzdávajících hold 100. výročí vzniku naší republiky.
Put things in motion is the life motto of this experienced watchmaker and technical engineering graduate. Her expertise lies in her ability to solutions that respect the balance between the functional and the aesthetic. Among other things, she played an important role in the development and production of a watch designed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the formation of Czechoslovakia.
Eine erfahrenere Armbanduhrendesignerin, deren Lebensmotto es ist, Dinge in Bewegung zu setzen. In ihrer Arbeit sucht sie nach Designlösungen, die das Gleichgewicht zwischen Funktionalität und Ästhetik wahren. Sie absolvierte eine tschechische technische Ausbildung und beteiligte sich unter anderem an der Entwicklung und Herstellung von Uhren zu Ehren des 100-jährigen Bestehens unserer Republik.

A creative designer who gives the individual parts of a wristwatch form and dimension and defines how they interact. Professionally, he has been following a family tradition that goes back generations. After he graduated from technical university, he has gained many years of experience in the Czech watchmaking industry. He is an absolute perfectionist.
Ein kreativer Designer, der den einzelnen Teilen einer Armbanduhr Form und Dimension verleiht und ihr Zusammenspiel definiert. Beruflich hat er die Tradition fortgesetzt, die seit mehreren Generationen in seiner Familie besteht. Er verfügt über eine technische Ausbildung und langjährige Erfahrung in der tschechischen Uhrenindustrie. Ein absoluter Perfektionist.

Hodinářka detailistka, která řemeslně zušlechťuje miniaturní součástky a skládá je v jeden dokonale funkční celek. Prošla českou hodinářskou školou a zkušenosti získala za své mnohaleté praxe při kompletaci a servisu tisíců hodinek. Podílela se na vývoji náramkových hodinek a mechanických kalibrů s puncem české manufakturní výroby.
Jana is a watchmaker and detailist who crafts miniature components and assembles them to form a single perfectly functioning unit. After getting her diploma as a watchmaker she embarked on a career during which she assembled and serviced thousands of watches. Jana has participated in the development of many wristwatches and mechanical calibres bearing the hallmarks of Czech craftsmanship.
Eine detaillierte Uhrmacherin, die Miniaturteile herstellt und sie zu einem perfekt funktionierenden Ganzen zusammensetzt. Sie besuchte die tschechische Uhrmacherschule und sammelte während ihrer langjährigen Tätigkeit Erfahrungen bei der Montage und Wartung von Tausenden von Uhren. Sie beteiligte sich an der Entwicklung von Armbanduhren und mechanischen Kalibern mit dem Markenzeichen der tschechischen Manufaktur.
